The MERELY MADE journey started in 2017 in Seoul, as the result of its creator HONG LOCO's life-long wish to develop a clothing line that makes people look and feel their best effortlessly. He felt that the Korean fashion industry lacked oversized, comfortable yet beautifully shaped clothing and tried out different styles before finding his, the Merely Made that we know today. Merely Made grew to be a brand that advocates a normalist, minimalist and simplistic approach to fashion and stands out each season by coming up with unique silhouettes. Each collection is carefully designed from real-life experiences where the team discovers a new culture and live like locals for a few weeks. By experiencing hands-on the unknown, we learn more about how people live and dress in different parts of the globe, then proceed to infuse some of our favorite details in our garments, to share some of our adventures with you.After Peru, the Sahara, Jeju, and Thailand where will Merely Made travel to? We manufacture each piece locally in South Korea using the finest quality of materials, essentially sourced from Japan. We aim to make the luxury of high-quality garments accessible to our Merely audience: our goal is to empower every single member of the #MerelyMadeFamily through flattering, genderless figures and high-quality materials.
